The pixel information panel gives you detailed information of the pixel under the mouse. The panel can be opened by clicking on the Pixel sidebar tab on the right side of the IPR window.

 

The following information is displayed:

  • Pixel XY: coordinates corresponding to the mouse position within the rendered image.
  • Object: name of the shape below the mouse cursor.
  • Render: RGB values in render color space as returned by Arnold, below the mouse cursor.
  • Lum: luminance value as returned by Arnold, below the mouse cursor.
  • EV: exposure value as returned by Arnold, below the mouse cursor.
  • HSV: HSV values as returned by Arnold, below the mouse cursor.
  • Display: RGB values in display color space (color corrected) below the mouse cursor. 

Average pixels

Hold down the Ctrl/Cmd key to display the average value of a 5x5 area surrounding the pixel.

Show pixel information in status bar

Displays the coordinates and color of the pixel under the mouse pointer in the status bar. 32-bit RGB values in the render color space and 8-bit RGB values in view color space are displayed.

Lock

Pixel information can be locked from the context menu (right click on the pixel) or using the color picker.
