This node can be used to reference a parameter of an object directly in the shader network.

You can drag & drop an object to the network editor which creates the object shader.


Specify the object you want to access in the shader network.


Click on the button and select a parameter from the menu.


Example of driving base color via the position of a Null object

This shader exists only in the node editor, it is not an Arnold shader. When exporting to Arnold, the plugin reads the selected parameter and sets the value on the linked shader.
