This short tutorial will show you how to create a realistic steel shader with anisotropic reflections.


  • Start off by creating a nurbs cylinder. Unparent the top and delete the main cylinder. You should be left with the top.
  • Convert the top of the nurbs cylinder to polys: Modify -> Convert Nurbs to Polygons


  • opening the scene. It contains a pot with a base object. Select the object 'Base' and assign an Ai Standard shader to it.
