Why does my Maya shader network not render with Arnold?
In Arnold 5 there are Closure shaders & attributes. It is possible to connect a RGBA shader to a Closure attribute, but it is impossible to connect a Closure Shader to a RGBA attribute. A simple example would be when trying to connect a surface shader to the emission attribute of another surface shader. Standard Surface, Standard Hair and Standard Volume shaders output closures rather than colors. This makes it possible to mix shaders efficiently, using the
shader_mix node to blend or add two shaders including all their light AOVs.

Where is the Shadow Catcher shader? The Shadow Catcher shader is now called the Shadow Matte shader.
