Arnold for 3ds Max 2018


Arnold for 3ds Max is provided by the MAXtoA plug-in.

This version uses the Arnold core, and is MAXtoA build 820
MAXtoA 1.0.712 and newer requires 3ds Max 2018. There are no newer build for 3ds Max 2017 than MAXtoA 0.9.608.

  • uv_transform shader layout (Max 36660).
  • Max's bitmap gamma not working when enabling the "Use Existing Tx" flag (Max 36840).
  • Memory pools allocations are much bigger than requested (Arnold 5927).
  • matte shader missing transparency with passthrough shader (Arnold 5977).
  • Wrong stats after destroying shape nodes (Arnold 5953).
  • normal_map not working correctly on rotated objects (Arnold 5930).
  • standard_surface normal not decoupled from main normal (Arnold 5931).
